Program Overview

The Nevada Applied Epidemiology Fellowship is a one-year, full-time, post-graduate paid field placement program for recent MPH graduates. The goal of this program is to help promising, but inexperienced epidemiologists gain necessary experience through placements at local health departments throughout Nevada.

This is a brand new program with 3 one-year fellowship positions available beginning in December 2024. Fellows will be hired through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a stipend of $57,000 per year with health benefits included.

Applicant Requirements

  • Completion of Masters of Public Health from an accredited School of Public Health
    • Fall 2024 graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States during the Fellowship
    • The first cohort will run from 12/1/2024 through 11/30/2025
  • Must reside in Nevada for the entirety of the Fellowship
